Pastor Richard L. Lewis, destined to preach from birth, began sharing his faith with his family at a young age, warning them of the consequences of their actions. At the tender age of 12, he delivered his first formal sermon titled “Fear God.” Despite his pastor’s prophecy that he would never achieve success beyond preaching the Word of God, Rev. Lewis resisted the divine calling until he was no longer able to fulfill it.
In 1995, Rev. Lewis answered his calling by dedicating his life to preaching the Word of God and assisting those in need. He served as the Youth Minister of Zion Baptist Church in Denver, Colorado, under the guidance of Pastor Frank M. Davis. In 1997, he was called to the pastorate ministry and assumed the role of Sr. Pastor at Greater Faith Baptist Church in Fort Collins, Colorado where he served faithfully for over three years.
In November 2000, Pastor Lewis established House of Hope Christian Ministries in Aurora, Colorado. Driven by a profound compassion for the marginalized and oppressed, he has dedicated his life to dismantling the oppressive chains imposed by the enemy. As the founder of Hope Project Ministries, an outreach ministry, he has provided shelter and support to hundreds of homeless individuals in transition. Pastor Lewis has also traveled to Zimbabwe, Africa, alongside his spiritual mentor, preaching the gospel to over 20 different churches. Furthermore, he served as the Director of the Project Renew program, which offers job coaching, resume building, transportation, and housing assistance to individuals, including ex-offenders released from prison. Pastor Lewis’s unwavering commitment to community service is evident in his active involvement on various city boards and his well-deserved respect within the local community.
Pastor Lewis, a dedicated pastor, graduated from Mechanic Arts High School in St. Paul, Minnesota, and later pursued higher education in Portland, Oregon. Over the years, he has devoted himself to studying the Word of God. Pastor Lewis authored a book titled “Breaking The Chains,” which has been instrumental in helping many individuals overcome the cycle of addiction.
His charismatic preaching style enables him to connect with people of all ages and backgrounds. Pastor Lewis is a humble servant with a compassionate and loving heart. He and his wife, First Lady Evangelist Pam Lewis, have been married for over 30 years and are the proud parents of four children and twelve grandchildren. Pastor Lewis considers himself one of the “happiest pastors alive.” While there are many accomplishments to highlight, the most significant is that Pastor Lewis is truly one of God’s chosen vessels.
